Grammar (K-6th)

GCA’s Grammar Program is split into three levels: Pre-Grammar, Grammar, and Upper Grammar.

  • Pre-Grammar (K-1st): Our aim is to gently introduce our youngest students to classical curriculum in a fun, interactive, hands-on environment.  Children must be 5 years old around September 1st to enroll in this program.
  • Grammar (2nd-4th): Our aim is to provide an integrated classical day with hands-on projects and group-learning opportunities.
  • Upper Grammar (5th-6th): Our aim is to provide an integrated classical day with hands-on projects and group-learning opportunities aimed at a slightly older audience.

Tuesday Electives

On Tuesday afternoons, students may join a variety of Electives offered by parents or outside vendors.  These can be academic or just for fun and depend on parent initiation to organize.  The cost varies, depending on the teacher.  Some electives can be paid for with charter funds.

Electives are a great, informal addition to GCA’s Friday program for families who want to participate.

Grammar Stage Cost

K-6th:  $485/yr.
Child Care (0-4 yrs):  $30 each child/per semester

In addition to these fees, families are required to purchase all student books and supplies.
